The Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium (SBGWC) is proud to be a grantee partner of Comic Relief US, the organization behind Red Nose Day. Our organizations share a belief in a future where there are no underserved communities. At SBGWC we are choosing to focus on Joy and with support from Comic Relief US, we are providing grants to girls and gender expansive youth, through our #BlackGirlJoyChallenge. These grants are awarded to individuals who have ideas for spreading joy to their friends, family, or community. This year’s +220 awardees focused on self-care among so many other ways to share joy. Stay tuned to our social media to see their projects come to life. We can all use a little more joy from these southern Black girls.
