Youth Ambassadors participate in a year leadership development program that prepares youth leaders to learn how to:
1) match the issues in their schools and communities to the policies impacting the lives of Black girls,
2) promote the #BlackGirlJoy Challenge among other girls in their communities, and
3)review and score #BlackGirlJoy applications and select award winners.
We engage Youth Ambassadors as ‘program advocates’ to help the next group of Black girls seeking to win the #BGJ Challenge. Most importantly, Youth Ambassadors inform and shape future grant funding and inform content for the annual Southern Black Girls conference.
